The author includes numerous photographs from her extensive collection of story clothes and describes their significance. Additionally, the narrative provides interesting background information about Hmong society and history including life in Laos, notable rituals, and folktales. The photographs of the numerous story cloths are stunning and frequently highlight details from selected pieces. This volume is truly a tribute and gift that reflects the author's passion and dedication to disseminating information about the Hmong community and a tradition that is slowly disappearing.
