About the Author David S. Holland identifies his occupation on his tax returns as “unknown author.” He has also been a lawyer, consultant, federal government employee, and military officer. He has voted in most of the elections of his adult life, even the local ones. As an alumnus, he occasionally makes contributions to six institutions: The University of Virginia, The College of William & Mary, The George Washington University, George Mason University, Northern Virginia Community College, and Walsingham Academy. Illustrator Phil McKenney is a freelance cartoonist/illustrator specializing in book, magazine and newspaper work. He also does courtroom illustrations for television. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a major in Communication Arts, he lives in Montross, in Virginia's Northern Neck.
